dance if you have feet

Lisi and I went to Bill T Jones performance at YBCA last night. I have to say although it was a interesting performance, I didn't get it. Am I lame? The lighting was good the sound was ok, not great there was some fuzz and the vocals were a little hard to hear, the video was really good, but I didn't get it. There was a narrative that was good although what the narrator was talking about did go with the dancing. I don't know, I am just not a dance person. Did I fall asleep you say? Well, maybe a little.
The best part of the night though was the dinner before at Nordstrom Bistro Cafe with our friends
C n F. There was talk about lesbian bed death and how many couple have it, when does it occur, and at what age. It was a stimulating conversation that took us right up to curtain time. The food was good, the company was pleasant, and the performance was entertaining. I love it when a plan comes together, don't you?

Each day?

I got from a friend of mine that she writes each day for 10 minutes. How could one do that? So I think I am going to try it. I wonder if sitting in from of the computer for 7 minutes counts. I am updating my other computer and I can see right now that writing for 10 minutes each day will be challenging, but I am going to do this for a little while and see where it goes. Maybe I will do sound stuff for 10 minutes that would work. We'll see how it goes.

Eating Cultures YUMMY!!!

Welcome to Eating Cultures AAWAA and APICC I got off early from work to help out AAWAA and APICC set up for the event and met some of the artist. Anticipation was high, as the crew put the finishing touches on the gallery and set up the POP UP Shop. Shari Arai deBoer and Cynthia Tom   Shizue Seigel and Susan Almazol set up Pop Up Shop The place was a buzz with excitement, as we started to hang the signs and clear off workers tables.  Cynthia is one of the hardest working women I know. With her guidance and support all of us had tasks to do.  The press preview was from 4-5pm and we finished setting up and cleaning just before the press arrived The Pop Up Shop had items made by the artists. I didn't bring or make anything for the shop , but some of the artist did and the shop looked great with jewelry, posters, postcard, comics, as well as mini paintings and textile work.
